Questions
Are the MIDI chord progressions really free?
Yes. Enter your email and you get the download link on the page and in your inbox. There is nothing to pay and no account to make.
Can I use them in my own tracks?
Yes. Use them in music you release and keep everything it earns. You may not resell or share the files as a MIDI pack of your own.
What is in each MIDI file?
Two tracks, the chords and the bass line, eight bars long. In the genre folders each file is written the way the genre is played: offbeat piano stabs for house, 3-3-2 stabs for afro house, held pads over a rolling bass for techno, laid-back sevenths with swing for lo-fi and R&B, long half-time chords for trap. The key folders have plain block chords, one per bar, to write your own rhythm on.
Which DAWs do they work in?
All of them. MIDI files open in Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Bitwig, Cubase, Reaper, Pro Tools and any other DAW.
Can I change the key?
Yes. Transpose the MIDI in your DAW, or open any progression in our free chord progression generator, pick a new key and download it again.
What else do I get?
The same email has our free sound pack: 16 house drums, three electric guitar loops and five Serum 2 presets, all royalty-free.
