Questions

How do I get the acapella of a song?

Choose the song and wait while it is separated. The vocals start soloed: press Download acapella to get them as a WAV file.

How clean is the acapella?

Clear on most songs, with faint traces of drums or instruments where they share the same frequencies as the voice. Reverb on the vocal comes along with it.

Can I turn the vocal into MIDI?

Yes. Press Preview MIDI on the vocals to see the melody in a piano roll, play it over the voice, adjust the detection and download the MIDI file.

Can I use acapellas from released songs?

The tool only separates the audio. Using someone else’s vocal in your own release needs permission from the rights holders.

Is my song uploaded?

No. The song is separated in your browser and never leaves your computer. The model downloads once, about 130 MB, and is kept by the browser for next time.

Does it work on a phone?

It may, on recent phones with a lot of memory. Separating a song needs more memory than many phones give a browser tab, and the tab can close. It works best on a computer.
