Questions

How do I remove vocals from a song?

Choose the song and wait while it is separated. Press Download instrumental to get the song without vocals as a WAV file. Play it first to hear how clean it is.

How clean is the instrumental?

Clean enough for practice, karaoke and remix sketches on most songs. Heavy reverb on the vocal, backing vocals mixed into the instruments and vocal effects can leave faint traces.

Can I get the vocals on their own too?

Yes. The vocals are a separate part with their own WAV download, and the same goes for drums, bass and the other instruments.

Is my song uploaded?

No. The song is separated in your browser and never leaves your computer. The model downloads once, about 130 MB, and is kept by the browser for next time.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account, no queue and no limit on how many songs you process. Songs can be up to 6 minutes long.

Does it work on a phone?

It may, on recent phones with a lot of memory. Separating a song needs more memory than many phones give a browser tab, and the tab can close. It works best on a computer.
